Extractor & Exporter — Chrome Extension
Effective date: June 18, 2026
This policy describes what data the extension collects, why it is collected, and how it is handled. We collect the minimum data required to operate sign-in, paid subscriptions, and plan limits — nothing more.
1. Data we collect
| Data | Why | Where it is stored |
|---|---|---|
| Google account basics: email address, display name, profile photo, and a Firebase user ID | Sign-in and linking your subscription to your account | Google Firebase (Firestore / Authentication), United States (us-central1) |
| A random device identifier (generated by the extension; not derived from your hardware) | Enforcing the per-plan device limit | Firebase Firestore, and locally in your browser's extension storage |
| Subscription status and plan type | Unlocking the features of your plan | Firebase Firestore (synced from our payment provider) |
| Authentication tokens | Keeping you signed in | Locally only, in your browser's extension storage (chrome.storage.local) |
2. Data we do NOT collect
No browsing history
No browsing history and no YouTube watch history, ever.
No playlist contents
Extracted links, titles, and thumbnails are processed entirely inside your browser and are never sent to our servers. Only the number of links is sent to verify your subscription and device, and it is not stored.
No payment card details
Payments are handled entirely by Lemon Squeezy (our merchant of record); we never see or store your card data.
No other websites
No data from any website other than the YouTube page you explicitly extract from.
3. Third-party services
- Google Firebase (Authentication and Firestore) — sign-in and data storage. Google Privacy Policy
- Lemon Squeezy — subscription payments and billing portal. Lemon Squeezy Privacy Policy
- Google Sheets / Drive APIs — used
only when you choose "Export to Google Sheets", with your explicit OAuth consent each
time. The extension requests the narrow
drive.filescope (access only to files it creates or that you pick) and the Sheets scope. You can revoke this access at any time at myaccount.google.com/permissions.
We never sell your data, and we never share it with anyone other than the processors listed above.
4. Extension permissions
activeTab/scripting/ YouTube host access — reading the playlist links on the YouTube page you are viewing, when you click "Extract Links".identity— the Google sign-in window.storage— saving your session, theme, and extracted links locally.googleapis.comhost access — sign-in and the optional Google Sheets export.
5. Data retention and deletion
Account data is kept while your account exists. To delete your account and all associated data (profile, devices, subscription record, and usage counters), email us from the address you signed in with. Signing out of the extension removes all tokens from your browser immediately. Uninstalling the extension removes all locally stored data.
6. Changes to this policy
If this policy changes materially, the effective date above will be updated and significant changes will be noted in the extension's Web Store listing.
